Peer support activities are provided by your fellow students and are not a substitute for personal assistance or care.

Student assistants<\/strong> provide direct support according to the pre-defined individual needs of students who require such assistance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Support may include, for example:<\/p>\n\n\n\n How to become a student assistant?<\/p>\n\t\t\t Each academic year, the University Counselling Centre seeks students to provide peer support to students with disabilities at the University of Rijeka’s constituent units.<\/p>\n\n\n\n With the help of STUDENT ASSISTANTS,<\/strong> students with disabilities can overcome organisational, spatial, and administrative obstacles that exist in the higher education system in the Republic of Croatia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The role of a student assistant is a paid <\/strong>position.<\/p>\n\n\n\n If you are interested, apply<\/a>! <\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n Student Mentors<\/p>\n\t\t\t In addition to a student assistant, you also have the option of having a student mentor.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Student mentors are senior students at all faculties of the University of Rijeka who help students (most often first-year students) of the same study programme in adapting to studies and student life.
