The University Counselling Centre (UCC) is a constituent of the University of Rijeka, established to provide various forms of support and assistance to students and staff of the University of Rijeka. All services offered by the centre are free of charge. The UCC includes Psychological Counselling, Academic Accommodations Counselling, and Professional Guidance & Career Development Counselling.
Psychological Counselling

Psychological Counselling provides all students and staff of the University of Rijeka with professional psychological assistance and support to help them achieve academic success, increase study efficiency, and improve quality of life. In addition to individual and group counselling aimed at overcoming learning difficulties, managing anxiety and depression, resolving interpersonal problems, and addressing dissatisfaction with oneself, the centre also offers educational activities such as lectures, workshops, forums, leaflets, and brochures.
Academic Accommodations Counselling

Academic Accommodations Counselling is intended for vulnerable and underrepresented students, especially those with visual or hearing impairments, physical disabilities, multiple disabilities, chronic illnesses, or other health conditions or difficulties that may affect their studies, to ensure they have the necessary conditions for successful and high-quality study. The counselling provides information, direct assistance, and support in addressing the specific needs of students according to the type of disability or difficulty. It also provides teachers with information on how to adapt teaching and examinations to meet students’ needs.
Professional Guidance & Career Development Counselling

Professional Guidance & Career Development Counselling is intended for students of the University of Rijeka. It offers opportunities to develop career management skills and to monitor students’ entrepreneurial intentions. Through workshops and various educational activities, students can increase their competence and competitiveness in the labour market and connect with potential employers. The counselling also provides individual and group career counselling to facilitate students’ entry into the labour market.
